My first bike arrived severely damaged in shipping (broken frame). It was a Xmas present, so I did not find out it was damaged until a couple weeks after it arrived. Customer service was superb. They set me up with a return label, scheduled my FedEx pickup, and had a new bike at my door just two days later.

The second bike arrived in perfect condition. I have put 20 miles on it (from full the battery is at 50% using mostly assist #3 out of 5), and all I can say is WOW. It is so much fun to ride. Be aware that there is a 1-2 second delay on the engagement of the motor when you are moving, although the throttle DOES respond immediately if you are at a stop. Which is great for getting the bike going and getting across intersections/etc. Aventon has said this delay is intentional as it allows for a better/safer experience. I agree, but I could see how some folks might always want instantaneous assist/throttle when the bike is in motion.

The power is amazing. On a flat I find assist level 5 is too much and I use 3. On a big hill, I will go up to 5 and find that I can go up any hill at 12+ mph with very little work. I thought I would be a throttle junkie and not use the assist, but in my experience it is the opposite. I feel silly just sitting on the bike with out my legs doing something, and the effort to pedal in the assist lvl 3+ is so little that it feels natural to just pedal along instead of messing with the throttle.

A couple of other things:
I highly recommend the fenders and rear rack. They fit solid and complete the bike.

The bike is quiet, and I find I can be using it relatively stealthy except in the highest assist/throttle setting.

The bike goes on trails just fine and has a cushioned ride due to the 4" tires.

Battery life is amazing, 40 miles per charge for me based on my experience.

One final note, it is heavy. 70ish pounds with accessories does not seem terrible but the awkward shape of a bike (any bike) makes it a bit of a chore to wrestle up/down stairs, into the car/RV, and just to fold up period. I am confident all folding ebikes in this price range suffer this same issue. I found once folding, putting the bike into a plastic tub makes it easier to get in and out of my car/RV.

So far, we have only used them twice but, WOW!! I had read reviews that the acceleration was slow off a stop. NOPE. It’s a rocket ship. Up at 20 mph quickly. Very stable bike. Love the the beach tires and frint suspension. Makes for a cushy ride. Best EBike I have found for the price.

We absolutely enjoy this bike, love everything about it. My co pilot absolutely loves coming a long in the burley dog trail wagon. My son is 6’ and the seat post adjust perfectly to accommodate.

Could not be happier with this bike. I highly recommend it. Researched foldable bike on many sites. It was alway recommended. Im tall 6'3 and did add a higher seat post for my comfort. I have talked to the service line a few times and they are very helpful. Great bike great company.

I want to thank all the Aventon staff. My bike, with only 3 miles, had a problem. The screen showed an error, which would not allow me to ride the bike. Attempting multiple times to correct the problem, and with assistance from the support staff, I now have a new bike, that I will be able to use in the spring!! I live in Pennsylvania, as it’s too cold for riding now, or I would have ridden the bike. I cannot express how impressed my husband and I were, with all the employees at Aventon, when we phoned for help. Thanks again, to all the staff, it is an excellent team! All companies need to follow their professional manner.
